Five Go Off
In A Caravan

By - Enid Blyton
First published in 1946

Story number five of the series takes a slight change from the
others as we find the Five starting their summer holidays not at Kirrin but at the home of Julian, Dick and Anne.  Sitting around on the front lawn, pondering as to the best way to spend the holiday, a travelling circus passes by giving them the idea of going off - by themselves - in caravans!

With Julian in charge (and in the possession of two modern - yet horse drawn - caravans) the Five set off in search of the travelling circus.

To their great surprise, the circus folk don't seem at all pleased at having the Five nearby, and make life extremely unpleasant for them - that is all except Nobby, a young circus boy - who becomes a firm friend.  Nobby's constant
companion is a chimpanzee called "Pongo" who delights
everyone with his antics.

The Five soon find themselves wrapped up in an exciting
adventure where finding a cave full of stolen goods is only the beginning!
